Privacy Policy
NoteWav AI Software Solution ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy says what personal data we collect, why, how long we keep it and what you can do. We handle personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022 of Sri Lanka.
1. Who is responsible
NoteWav AI Software Solution, run by Sandun Deshapriya, B.P. Kanda, Maharachchimulla, Alawwa 60286, Sri Lanka. Email: info@notewav.lk.
2. What we collect
- Account information: your name and email address, and your sign-in details.
- Files you upload: the files you give our apps (for example the videos or audio files you give Sub Cut) and what is made from them (for example subtitles).
- Payment records: which plan you bought, the amount, the date and the result PayHere sends us. We do not receive or store your card number.
- Technical data (such as your IP address and basic logs): our server records your IP address, the type of device and browser, and the time of sign-ins, for security and support.
3. Why we use it
- To run the apps you use. For example, to make subtitles in Sub Cut the audio of your file is read by the program (with the Premium option it is sent to our AI provider, see section 5), and you can then edit and export them.
- To manage your account, plan and payments.
- To answer your questions and give support.
- To keep the service safe and working.
4. How long we keep it
Files you upload to our apps (for example videos, subtitles and exports in Sub Cut) are deleted 30 days after they were uploaded. Your account details and your purchase records are kept (the law asks shops to keep them), until you ask us to close your account.
5. Who else handles it
- PayHere processes payments. Your card details go to PayHere, not to us. See PayHere's own privacy policy.
- Hosting: Oracle Cloud (Mumbai, India) stores the service and your files for us.
- Sub Cut Premium accuracy (optional): if you choose it, the audio of your file is sent to Google (cloud AI service) to be turned into text, and the text comes back to us. It is used only to make your subtitles. The standard option does not send your audio to anyone. Google handles the audio under its own terms (the Gemini API terms), which say how long it keeps it. We do not keep your audio on Google's service ourselves.
- We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the services above, or when the law requires it.
6. Your rights
Under the Act you may have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have wrong data corrected, to have your data deleted, and to withdraw your consent. To use any of these, write to info@notewav.lk from your account email. We will answer within a reasonable time. To delete your account and your files, write "Delete my account" in the subject.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data. No service on the internet can promise perfect security.
8. Cookies and browser storage
We use one small sign-in cookie, and your browser's own storage, to keep you signed in and to remember settings such as the look of the page. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can delete them in your browser settings; you will then be signed out.
9. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above.
